Podcast Review: Tanis

Tanis Podcast Review | Cats & Coffee

In a recent post, I revealed that I love podcasts.

And it’s true! They’re great.

I’m back this week with another great fictional podcast for you to try out. It’s called Tanis.

What is Tanis?

Just like The Black Tapes, Tanis is a fictional podcast by Pacific Northwest Stories.

Tanis is a bi-weekly podcast hosted by Nic Silver, and it’s about a mythical place called–you guessed it–Tanis. In other words, this podcast is “an exploration of the nature of truth, conspiracy, and information. Tanis is what happens when the lines of science and fiction start to blur…”

The podcast starts with Nic investigating several mysterious cases of shifting realities and realms in the Pacific Northwest, and how this myth might actually be real. He teams up with “cyber information specialist” Meerkatnip (MK) to try to unravel the mystery of Tanis.

Over the course of the first three seasons, Nic becomes immersed in a world of myths, cults, a few corporations, and even the military.

You Should Listen if…

If you like science fiction, mythology, or mystery, you’ll love Tanis.

This show is not as spooky as The Black Tapes, but it makes you think. Personally, it’s expanded my imagination, and I love anything that can do that.

Worried the shows will be too long? Don’t be. Each episode varies between 40 and 50 minutes, including some sponsored ads, and each season has 12 episodes.

Tanis’ third season just finished, so you have plenty of time to catch up before Season Four!

You can find Tanis on iTunes, Spotify, and the Tanis website. You can find Nic and the Tanis crew on Twitter.
